Stoelting F431 (IntelliTec control) error codes

CodeMeaningLikely causeWhat to do
E1Program boardControl board microprocessorSwitch off and on; replace the board if it stays.
E2High torqueDrive motor over 125% of the cut-out amps for 10 s, often from low or unsteady supply voltageCheck supply voltage, motor and start parts.
E3Low torqueCompressor ran 20 min without reaching consistency: low mix, broken-down mix, blocked inlet, ice crystals, poor airflow or a stuck solenoidCheck mix level and quality, airflow and the solenoid valve.
E4CleanLeft in clean mode over 20 minutesNot a fault. Switch the side off and on.
E5Freezing cylinder sensorSensor failed or reading outside about -37 to 37 °CMachine keeps serving on timers. Check the sensor against the 10 kΩ chart (±400 Ω).
E6Hopper sensor (single-hopper machines)Sensor failed or out of rangeCheck the sensor.
E7Drive motorNo motor current seenCheck wiring at the control and motor, and the motor contactor.
E8Cabinet sensorSensor failed or out of rangeCheck the sensor.
E9High pressure cut-outDirty condenser, blocked filter, fan or poor water flowSwitch off, press the high-pressure reset, clean, then switch back on.
E10Auxiliary (board) sensorSensor on the control boardBoard may be faulty.
E11Low temperatureRefrigerant at the barrel sensor too cold, usually low or no mixAdd mix. The freeze cycle ends early.
E12 / E13Left / right hopper sensorSensor failed or out of rangeCheck the sensor.
