Eliwell EWCM 4120, 4150 and 4180
Pack controller for compressor racks with a suction (inlet) and condenser (outlet) circuit. Alarms show as Er codes; many are event alarms that switch to manual reset after repeated trips.
What it is: Compressor rack and condenser controller. Up to four compressors and four condenser fans, with inverter options.
Key combo: Use the programming menu and enter the installer (or manufacturer) password when asked. UP + DOWN together resets alarms.
Eliwell EWCM 4120, 4150 and 4180 error codes
| Code | Meaning | Reset type |
|---|---|---|

| Er02 | Suction high pressure switch | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er03 | Condenser low pressure switch | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er04 | Condenser high pressure switch | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er05 | Suction probe above maximum alarm | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er06 | Suction probe below minimum alarm | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er07 | Condenser probe above maximum alarm | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er08 | Condenser probe below minimum alarm | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er09–Er12 | Compressor 1 to 4 locked out (its safety input tripped) | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual. That compressor is left out of the rotation |
| Er13 | Continuous (inverter) compressor locked out | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er14–Er17 | Fan 1 to 4 overload | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual. That fan is left out |
| Er18 | Continuous or shared fan overload | Counts trips: automatic until it repeats too often in the sample window, then manual |
| Er19–Er23 | Run hours exceeded: compressors 1–4 and inverter compressor (limit CP17) | Manual: reset the hours counter |
| Er24–Er28 | Run hours exceeded: fans 1–4 and inverter fan (limit Fn19) | Manual: reset the hours counter |
| Er29 | General alarm (blocks the system) | Manual |
| Er30 | Suction probe fault | Automatic |
| Er31 | Condenser probe fault | Automatic |
| Er33 | Clock communication error (clock broken) | Automatic |
| Er34 | Clock not set | Automatic once the clock is set |
| Er35 | Configuration error | Automatic once settings are corrected |
| Er37 | Alarm log full | Manual: clear the log |
How to enter service / parameter mode

Other useful key presses
| Task | How |
|---|---|

| Silence the alarm relay | Press any key; the alarm light then flashes. |
| Show probe readings | Hold FNC to pick which reading the main display shows. |
Notes
- How an event alarm (Er01–Er18) behaves depends on its bypass time and the number of trips allowed in its sample window (AL parameters). If the count is 0 the alarm is always automatic; above 32 it is always manual.
For licensed technicians only. This equipment can involve mains voltage, high-voltage microwave circuits, gas and refrigerant. Isolate power (and gas) before opening panels, follow the manufacturer's manual and your local licensing rules (for example ARC refrigerant handling and electrical or gas licences). Wrong settings can spoil food or damage equipment. Check every value on the unit in front of you before changing it.
