Eliwell IDPlus and EWPlus 902, 961, 971, 974 (and ID 974)
Single-set-point panel controllers for cabinets and cold rooms. The 961 is thermostat only, 971 adds defrost, and 974 adds evaporator fans. Settings live in folders (CP, dEF, FAn, AL, Add, diS, CnF, FPr) behind two password levels.
What it is: Refrigeration controller. One page for IDPlus 902/961/971/974, the IDPlus -HC versions, EWPlus 961/971/974 and the older ID 974. They share the same alarm labels and folder-style menus.
Key combo: Hold SET for more than 5 s, then enter the user (PA1) or installer (PA2) password when asked.
Eliwell IDPlus and EWPlus 902, 961, 971, 974 (and ID 974) error codes
| Code | Meaning | Likely cause | How to reset |
|---|---|---|---|
| E1 | Room (cold room) probe Pb1 fault | Probe open, shorted, unplugged, or reading outside its range | Clears when the probe reads normally. Check the probe type (H00) and wiring, then replace the probe. Compressor runs on the Ont / OFt duty cycle meanwhile. |
| E2 | Defrost probe Pb2 fault (971 / 974 only) | Probe open, shorted, unplugged, or reading outside its range | Clears when the probe reads normally. Check the probe type (H00) and wiring, then replace the probe. Defrost ends on time (dEt) meanwhile; fans follow FCO. |
| E3 | Third probe Pb3 fault | Probe open, shorted, unplugged, or reading outside its range | Clears when the probe reads normally. Check the probe type (H00) and wiring, then replace the probe. Only where Pb3 is fitted. |
| AH1 | High temperature alarm (Pb1) | Pb1 above HAL for longer than tAO | Clears when Pb1 drops back below the HAL limit. Logged in the AL folder. |
| AL1 | Low temperature alarm (Pb1) | Pb1 below LAL for longer than tAO | Clears when Pb1 rises back above the LAL limit. |
| EA | External alarm | Digital input set as external alarm (H11 = ±5) is active | Clears when the outside cause is removed. Control locks if rLO = y. |
| OPd | Door open alarm | Door input (H11 = ±4) open longer than tdO | Close the door. Controller behaviour while open is set by OAO. |
| Ad2 | Defrost ended on time | Pb2 did not reach the defrost end temperature before the time limit | Clears on the next defrost that ends on temperature. Check heaters and Pb2. |
| COH | Over-heating alarm (HC models) | Pb3 above the SA3 limit | Check the condenser / the area Pb3 measures. |
| nPA / PAL | General pressure switch alarm | Pressure switch input activated (nPA counts trips; PAL shows when the limit is reached) | Check the pressure switch circuit; PAL needs the cause cleared before running resumes. |
| HC n, tC n, bC n, bt n | HACCP-style logs for Pb3 (HC models) | Pb3 left its SLH–SHH band, or a blackout occurred; n is the event number | Records only. Clear them from the AL folder. |

- The -HC versions add the COH alarm and the Pb3 log entries.
