TurboChef i3 and Encore
High-speed ovens with two blowers, a heater and two magnetrons. Faults stop or flag a cook and are counted, with time stamps, in the fault log.
What it is: Rapid-cook oven. The i3 and the Encore (2) share the same fault list and Info Mode layout.
TurboChef i3 and Encore error codes
| Code | Meaning | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| F1 | Blower not running | Motor controller reports no run status | Oven retries the motors at switch-on. Check blowers, motor controller and wiring. |
| F2 | Cook temperature low | Cavity over 47 °C (84 °F) below set point 5 s into a cook | Check heater, relay and RTD. |
| F3 | Magnetron current low | Magnetron, filament transformer, HV circuit or fuse | Test the magnetrons in Test Mode. |
| F4 | Door monitor fault | Monitor switch opened before the primary/secondary switches; may blow the F3 fuse | Adjust or replace the door switches; switch off and on to clear. |
| F5 | Magnetron too hot | A magnetron thermostat reached 100 °C (212 °F) | Check magnetron cooling; it resets itself. |
| F6 | Electrical compartment too hot | Over 70 °C (158 °F) | Check cooling fans and vents. |
| F7 | RTD open | Probe open over 2 minutes; display reads 999 | Check the RTD and wiring against the ohm chart. |
| F8 | Heat low | Cavity rose less than 7 °C (14 °F) in 30 s while warming | Check heater and relay. |
| F9 | Cavity too hot | Catalyst flashed from grease (RTD over 343 °C / 650 °F for 40 s–2 min) | Clean the oven and catalyst. Logged only; the cook is not stopped. |
