Bean-to-cup machine with a touch display. The error number and text show when you tap the message pad; drinks that can't be made go dark.

Key combo: Tap the message pad to see the error number. To force a restart, hold the on/off switch.
WMF 1500 S+ error codes

| 6 | Brew unit stalled or stiff | Switch off, clean the brew unit. |
| 88 | Boiler over-temperature | Switch off, let it cool, switch on. If it returns, call service. |
| 89 | Boiler heat-up time error | Switch off and on. If it returns, call service. |
| 161 | Flow error: brewing water | Off and on between each step: clean the brew unit, grind coarser, reduce the recipe strength, then call service. |
| 162 | Flow error: during cleaning | Clean the brew unit, then call service. |
| 186 | Steam boiler level | Drinks blocked for now. Switch off and on; check the water inlet tap is open. |
| 188 | Heater error | Switch off, unplug, call service. |
| 189 | Steam boiler heat-up time error | Switch off and on. If it returns, call service. |
| 9083 | Milk cooler in frost range | Check the cooler is not set too cold. |
| 9507 | Flow error: no water pressure | Open the water tap or fill the tank. |
| 9678 | Right grinder blocked | Switch off and unplug. Turn the grinder disc anticlockwise with the hopper multi-tool. Grind one step coarser if it keeps happening. |

Notes
- First step for any error: switch off, wait a few seconds, switch on and repeat.
- The manual also lists 9619 next to the grinder errors without its own description; check it on the machine.
