Dixell XW264K and XW60VS

Cool room controllers with alarm codes spelled out (EAL, bAL, PAL) and a password on the full parameter list. XW264K has six relays and two defrost probes; XW60VS has three relays.

What it is: Cool room controller with password-protected Pr2. Covers XW264K (two evaporators, remote T620/V620 keypad) and XW60VS (100×64 mm panel unit).

Key combo: Hold SET + DOWN for a few seconds for Pr1. Pick Pr2 and enter the service password for the full list.

Dixell XW264K and XW60VS error codes

CodeMeaningLikely causeHow to reset
P1Thermostat probe faultProbe open, shorted, unplugged or wrong type (PbC)Clears by itself a few seconds after the probe reads normally. Check wiring and PbC before replacing the probe. Alarm relay on; compressor cycles on the COn / COF times.
P2Evaporator probe fault (XW60VS) / first evaporator probeProbe open, shorted, unplugged or wrong type (PbC)Clears by itself a few seconds after the probe reads normally. Check wiring and PbC before replacing the probe. Alarm relay on; defrost ends on time.
P3Third probe fault (second evaporator on XW264K, display probe on XW60VS)Probe open, shorted, unplugged or wrong type (PbC)Clears by itself a few seconds after the probe reads normally. Check wiring and PbC before replacing the probe. Alarm relay on; other outputs unchanged.
HAHigh temperature alarmRoom above ALU for longer than ALdAlarm relay on. Clears when back inside the limit.
LALow temperature alarmRoom below ALL for longer than ALdAlarm relay on. Clears when back inside the limit.
EEMemory faultInternal data check failedPress any key to reset. If it returns, replace the controller.
dADoor alarm (XW60VS) / defrost time-out (XW264K)XW60VS: door open too long. XW264K: defrost ended on time, not temperatureXW60VS: clears when the door shuts. XW264K: check defrost heaters and probe.

How to enter service / parameter mode

  1. Hold SET + DOWN for a few seconds. The first Pr1 parameter shows.
  2. Scroll to Pr2 and press SET. PAS flashes, then 0 - - with the first digit flashing.
  3. Enter the service password one digit at a time with UP / DOWN, pressing SET after each digit.
  4. With the right password the full parameter list opens.
